Check out one of my favourite artists, Canadian landscape painter Mike Svob. He has such beautiful, vibrant landscapes. I kick myself for not taking one of his workshops when I lived out west.

- I am an artist working in acrylic paint on canvas. Having lived in a variety of locations in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Colorado and Ontario, I have been constantly surrounded by amazing, diverse landscapes. It is these views that I take my inspiration from when painting. This blog provides an outlet to show some of my work as it is being created. I am currenty having a grand old time painting full time, living with my husband, son and one stinky dog in Ontario.

Terrific painting Jennifer!
I went to Mike Svob's website and his work is amazing! It kind of reminds me of Stephen Quiller's. A workshop with Mike would of been fantastic...... I'd kick myself too....lol!

Great color usage
Great painting, Jennifer! Love the color and composition. Looks great being done on black gesso.
Mike Svob's work is powerful in the way he uses color.
Wow, love Svob's work. Especially Venice Skiff and Winter Reflections. Truly amazing use of color. Thanks for sharing. Your Vasey Barn is a great composition. I like the lead-in blues in the right corner, and counterpointing field rows. Beautiful transitions to the different levels of space.
