Karen

My portraiture class was on Friday again. Our model this week was Karen. She had fabulous features, and was a lot of fun to paint. This ended up a little more stylized than I had planned. It was an interesting experiment using the black ground that I typically use in my landscapes. Next week I am going to try using a green underpainting!

I like it! Your hues are so interesting. Maybe you would post your pallet someday?

I can see how you seem to be trying to merge your landscaping style with that of your portraiture as opposed to the one you did of Max. Fun to see the change, although I enjoy both looks you have done. Experimentation is what it's all about if you ask me. Nice work!

Carol - yes I can definitely post my palette sometime soon!

Camille - thanks for the comments. It is all new territory for me when it comes to portraits - thus the experimenting! (I haven't posted my many experimental flops!!).
