24"x48"
Acrylic on Canvas

These are some of my favourite colours together. I am really happy with how the branches reach across the canvas...

Calming Effect
36"x48"
Acrylic on Canvas
This is one of my favourite paintings created in the last six months. It is at one of my galleries right now, but I may just have to get it back so that I can hang it on my own wall! It is not often that I really want to hang on to painting, and am usually done with them once the signature is on. I am excited to paint the next project. Though occasionally it hits me, once I have let the painting go to a gallery, or sold it that maybe I should have held on to it. Ever have that feeling?

Tangled Maples Study
12"x12"
Acrylic on Canvas
SOLD
As the biannual Square Foot Show approaches at the Loft Gallery (opens November 18th), I endeavour to paint a large number of these 12"x12" paintings. My favourite part (beside the freeing feeling that I can really "play" with this size canvas - versus painting a much larger one where I definitely tighten up), is lining up all finished pieces. It is like looking a a number of little "gems". Very satisfying! This was my first one painted for the show, but I just may have to keep it for myself...

Since our first snow arrived over the weekend, I guess it is time for me to start painting winter scenes!
