Happy to have Spring here now.  The local trillium have stopped blooming now, but it was a great year for them. I am always inspired when I see them blanketing the forest floor in May.

This is a commission that I completed a couple of months ago.  It was the client's suggestion that I take a subject matter (the cornfields & sky), that I had painted in the past, and incorporate into an entirely different painting size.  I had created a previous painting similar to this but in portrait format, where as they wanted it in landscape, i.e., much wider.   I have to say they were totally right, and this makes a stronger composition!  It is always great when I can collaborate with clients.

This weekend is the Blue Mountain Tour of the Arts, with artist's studios and galleries open to the public for the entire weekend throughout Thornbury, Clarksburg and Kimberley.
