Resting Place
60" x 72" diptych
Acrylic on Canvas
SOLD
This is the piece that I created during the Art Tour on the May long weekend. It was fun to paint in front of an audience, though at moments a bit disconcerting (especially those times when you are not sure what to do next!). I took advantage of the large studio space at the Loft Gallery, and painted a larger canvas size than I could at home.

Hold Me Close
36"x18"
Acrylic on Canvas
SOLD
We have a a large number of beautiful birch trees on our property. These two particular ones overlook the pond. I am often trying to push my paintings in a more abstract direction, which is what I was aiming for here.

Perfect Day
16"x16"
Acrylic on Canvas
SOLD
I have to share one of my new favourite artists with you: Tony Allain. Tony has the most amazing handle on pastels (a medium that I have not used much, but am completely enamoured with the look of). Tony has wonderful clarity of colour, as well and the ability to simplify a landscape to the bare essence. Spectacular!
