I drive past this big old barn every time I go to
my husband's family cottage on Georgian Bay (Lake Huron). This was painted from a photo that I took last summer. This spring I discovered that part of the barn collapsed over the winter. I guess I will have to paint an updated version!

I love the composition on this one. I can see it is one its last legs. Good thing you captured it before it's final collapse!
This is really outstanding. I love its shape and the palette too.
I am always so excited to see that there is a new posting from you! This is beautiful, as always!
Wonderful painting, Jennifer.
Those rich colors in the shady area are to die for! I love an old barn. We have one as a matter of fact (really it's a woodshed) and I expect it will collapse any time now!
Love this - I wish I could see it in persion. You MUST paint an updated version!
Lovely painting, Jennifer.
faye
Too bad about the barn. I hatre to see old things such as this as they pass on. Inevitable but its like importatn parts of the world passing. You surte did a great job on the painting. Really like what you are doing.
God bless and keep it up
beautiful painting, Jennifer. It's nice to have a record of the barn now that it's partially gone.
You captured the "last light" on this barn beautifully.
Jennifer....very good work you are doing. Thanks for the comments and I see why you relate to my work as I see similar interest in shapes and design in your work. As with these blogs people are very nice in their comments. I would like to discuss a little more about your work if you are interested. We could do it through email. I think we can learn from each other as artists, but again I understand the z"code" of the blog.
