Spring Storm
18" x 36" acrylic on canvas
SOLD
This is my final painting completed for the Art Tour this weekend. As I said before, my work will be shown at Interior Motives in Thornbury and the Loft Gallery in Clarksburg.
Now I have to get back to painting as we have a quite few empty walls to fill in our house!

Morning Sun
18" x 24" acrylic on canvas
Loft Gallery
I had a lovely walk with the dog in the sunshine the other morning. I collected a number of photos of local buildings like this one. It is always great to have new fodder for the canvas. I will be painting more of them in the coming weeks.
This painting is of my neighbour Cynthia's house. She has the most unbelievable garden out back. I am hoping her amazing gardening skills rub off on me this summer!Saturday, May 9, 2009
And So It Goes
16" x 16" acrylic on canvas
SOLD
I am nearing the end of my crunch to get ready for the local Artist's Studio tour next weekend. Here is another birches painting. Now I have to get back to work!
But first check out another cool artist's website, Sharon Barr . When ever I look at her work, it makes me want to pump up the pastel colours in my paintings - totally whimsical and fun (and a little girly too.)

Roadside Attraction
30" x 40" acrylic on canvas
SOLD
I drive past this big old barn every time I go to
my husband's family cottage on Georgian Bay (Lake Huron). This was painted from a photo that I took last summer. This spring I discovered that part of the barn collapsed over the winter. I guess I will have to paint an updated version!

Around the Bend
24" x 36"
Acrylic on Canvas
SOLD
The title of this one is sort of how I am feeling today. I am working on another painting - struggling is a better word. Sometimes the creativity flows, and other times it has to be dragged out of you.
It is driving me around the bend!!
