Morning Sun

18" x 24" acrylic on canvas
Loft Gallery
I had a lovely walk with the dog in the sunshine the other morning. I collected a number of photos of local buildings like this one. It is always great to have new fodder for the canvas. I will be painting more of them in the coming weeks.
This painting is of my neighbour Cynthia's house. She has the most unbelievable garden out back. I am hoping her amazing gardening skills rub off on me this summer!

Your paintings are unmistakable! I love the designs and the bold application of paint. If I knew my art history the way I should, I'd try to pinpoint the influence. Since I don't, I have to believe you are charting unknown territories!

I love the house color, and gorgeoius shadows from the leaves in this. And the fence. And the sky...and everything :-)

I'm so envious...I've never been able to do architecture well. Love your work.
