Clarksburg Morning

24" x 48" acrylic on canvas

This one was a challenge, but so much fun to paint! It is the largest painting in size that I have ever done at 24"x48". It depicts the main street of my little town, where I often walk first thing in the morning. I will be submitting it to the upcoming Loft Gallery Spring Show.

Wow! I'm so envious of your able to do big pieces. I love this but I'll bet it is even more striking in person. I really like those old fashioned telephone/electric poles. wonderful wonderful...

Fantastic, Jennifer! I agree with sheila, this must be impressive in person to get a feel for the scale. It's like standing on the corner. Great abstract patterns, and your hallmark gorgeous color. Is it a juried show at the Loft?

Jennifer, I just love your work! Do you start with a black background? And as Sheila and Liz said, your colors are scrumptious.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Yes Deborah, I do use a black gesso to cover the canvas for most of my paintings.
